After looking at Sharon Hughes website I realized that the "troops," event was in reality something of a "feel-good" facade to lend credibility to Hughes and her husband's right wing nonsense. She did not display her true colors at this event--just prattled on about God and country and her special claim to American patriotism. Her anti-liberal, anti-choice, etc., blog posts are difficult to read. Good to see this blog is still going strong- Sophie Edwards Very good article.
